Innovative design, inspiring materials and colours, seamless process from design to finished build
In early 2020 we engaged Surita Nel to design our new kitchen. Our requirement was for a high spec kitchen and we got it! The finished design was innovative. The materials and colours inspiring. The entire process from design to build was seamless. Surita ensured our granite kitchen top was the absolute best quality slab by personally selecting it. This took many hours in the factory. She doesn’t do average. The key difference with Surita is that she is not only a kitchen designer – she’s also an architect. This was a huge advantage to the overall kitchen design. Surita also designed our bathrooms and, like the kitchen, the finished product was beyond our expectations. Surita is the ultimate professional.

A creative and totally new way of using the space
We had the great pleasure of working with Surita during our recent kitchen renovation. Other companies had given us new designs which basically swapped the old cupboards for new, whereas Surita came up with a creative, totally new way of using the space. This resulted in far more useable workspace and a really modern, stylish design.
From our very first consultation to the last meeting to sign off the project, Surita was extremely helpful. Our questions were always answered promptly, even phoning us when on leave to clarify something. We were very impressed with Studio You and highly recommend them to anyone undertaking a new kitchen.

My dream kitchen is beautiful, practical and so well constructed
I have my dream kitchen and by “tile default” an entrance, laundry and bathroom that are beautiful and practical. The work that Surita did in designing the kitchen has taken a largely under capitalised space and converted it into a kitchen that has space for 3-4 people to be working in together. She understood each functional request I had, improved on it and implemented it. The kitchen is not only functional, but so well constructed. Pieter is the most precise and tidy builder I have had the pleasure of engaging. Nothing had been left to chance, and his ability to offer practical solutions to what appear to be complex problems really made my renovation easy. There is nothing in my kitchen, entrance, or bathroom that I would change.

Surita completely surpassed my expectations for our new kitchen design
Surita came to my home and asked me what I wanted in my new Kitchen. I had a 20 year old Kitchen that was square in layout large, very dated and no bench for family and friends to sit at.
Surita spent alot of time asking me how we as a family functioned, how much we entertained, and what I really wanted in a kitchen. I said what I really wanted was a long bench in my new kitchen but I thought it was something that wouldn’t fit in the existing space.
To my surprise Surita designed exactly what I had dreamed of – a long kitchen bench utilising space I never had thought could be used for the kitchen.
Then she went further and asked how I cooked and how we entertained and designed the kitchen layout to accommodate it all. Surita completely surpassed my expectations for our new kitchen design.
Our builder Pieter made the whole demolition and rebuild of our kitchen such an easy process. It was stress free as Pieter dealt with every aspect of the build, organising the trades required. He left the site each day in perfect condition and made sure I was happy throughout. The finish of our new kitchen is perfect.
We are so happy with our new kitchen and can recommend anyone considering a new Kitchen to choose Surita and Pieter. I cannot recommend them enough, they made a process I had considered to be stressful and complicated to be super easy.
